People drive around with dash cams trying to get cops to pull them over so they can "school" the cops.
By standers crowd around when cops are arresting someone and heckle and curse at the police officers.
I don't understand this. Sure there are some bad cops. Bad cops have been around for ever, that's nothing new. But the average police officer is not like that.
They are men and women who put their lives at risk every single time they go to work. They are husbands and wives, daughters and sons, loved ones and friends just like the rest of us.
When people get in trouble, they call the cops, when there is a problem, they call the cops so how did the cops get such a bad rap?
No one likes to get pulled over, but everyone breaks the laws of the road at one time or another, even without realizing it at times.
What if you had a job where people came to your work place and heckled you or stood around cursing at you?
We need to treat other people the way we want to be treated, and that includes cops.
If you get pulled over for something, don't fight with them. Have you license and registration in hand, turn off your car, roll down the window and be polite. They are just doing their job trying to keep other people safe.
Please pray about this if it's something you struggle with. And if the cops is rude to you, turn the other cheek and pray for them too.
